Sports Day Dress Down Day

Our wonderful super senior, Aiden S., wanted to help the many people in New Orleans, LA whose lives were impacted by Hurricane Ida.

“Hi everyone, my name is Aiden Szubinski and I am from New Orleans, LA. My family has a home there and all of my extended family still lives in the greater New Orleans area. As you may know, Hurricane Ida devastated my city and over 30 towns surrounding New Orleans shutting off the power grid and creating severe wind damage to most infrastructures. As a result, all of New Orleans citizens are displaced without power or water and many towns in southern Louisiana are still completely flooded. I am creating this fundraiser to help the citizens of my city. All off the proceeds will go to World Central Kitchen, which has been providing 50k meals a day to everyone in the area, and the Cajun Navy Foundation, the first responders that have been working day in and day out to provide relief from Ida. My mom and dad are committed to matching all donations raised. I am so thankful to be apart of our special Park Maitland Community.”

We are very proud to host a fundraiser
dress-down day this
Thursday, September 9th.

For $2 (or the donation amount of their choice) students may dress down. Students can wear their favorite sports team in honor of college sports beginning for the fall. Students may wear casual shorts, hats, and/or accessories, but please make sure that all clothing conforms to the dress code in terms of style and fit.
