Ribbon cutting ceremony held on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011
KIRKLAND, Wash. (Jan. 2010) – Teachers and staff members of the new Evergreen Academy Montessori Preschool in Kirkland, Wash., will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. to welcome the community to tour the facility and meet the new school’s teachers and administration. The Mayor of Kirkland, Joan McBride, city officials and representatives from the local chamber of commerce will be on hand to provide remarks.
The preschool is located at 12233 116th Ave., NE and is approximately 10,671 square feet. The two-story facility can accommodate up to 150 children ages six weeks to kindergarten. Evergreen Academy Montessori Preschool is part of Nobel Learning Communities, Inc., a national network of more than 180 nonsectarian private schools, including preschools, elementary schools and middle schools in 15 states across the country. The new Kirkland location is the organization’s seventh school in Washington.
“Nobel Learning Communities is excited to provide a new Evergreen Academy location in Kirkland,” said Kelly Tyler, the preschool’s executive director. “We are pleased to offer a high quality curriculum and a caring environment where students can grow and learn.”
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, students from a nearby Evergreen Academy in Bothell will serve as emcees. The school’s kindergarten class will sing a song, and older student ambassadors will conduct guided tours for guests. The celebration will also include balloons and refreshments. Members of the community are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremonies.
